Prescott and Russell Recreational Trail
The Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail spans a distance of 72 kilometres, linking several municipalities of the United Counties with the cycling networks of Quebec and the Ottawa region. Built on an old railway bed, this gravel trail lends itself well to various athletic and recreational activities, including cycling, walking, running, bird watching, photography and astronomy. Nature lovers will discover diverse landscapes marked by woodlots, residential areas, agricultural lands, and wetlands. Five pavilions are located along the trail in the villages of St-Eugène, Vankleek Hill, Plantagenet, Bourget and Hammond. The Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail is the perfect trail for a family outing.
For cyclists that prefer paved roads, Prescott and Russell features 11 cycling routes. There is no better way to discover the region than by bicycle.
The United Counties of Prescott and Russell, in collaboration with the MRCs of Argenteuil and Papineau, in Quebec, have developed a cycling network that highlights the majestic Ottawa River. Discover our beautiful corner of the world by cycling one of the three bicycle loops.
