High Speed Internet in Prescott and Russell

The Rural Connections Broadband Program is an initiative of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, designed to expand broadband service for rural residents and businesses in southern and eastern Ontario.

The Prescott and Russell Rural Connections Project has made broadband internet available to over 7,000 residents and businesses. This will permit them to work, study, do research, and communicate over the Internet from within Prescott and Russell.  It is a strong economic driver for the United Counties.  Partners in this project are :The United Counties of Prescott and Russell, The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Bell and Xplornet.

As a result of this program, approximately 97% of residents of Prescott and Russell now have access to high speed Internet.
