Nature Observation

Larose Forest has a high biodiversity divided in three main zones: softwood plantings, red maple stands and wetlands. An incredible amount of insects, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fish, birds, vascular plants and mushrooms can be found on these territories.

Here are some of the most observed species: deer, beavers, moose, turtles, butterflies and raptors.

Pedestrian walking, biking and picnicking

More than 180 kilometres of roads and trails are waiting for you to take a walk or go mountain biking within the Larose Forest. Two parking lots give you access to all activities. They are also service area with picnic tables.

Walking and biking trails will open as soon as the snow melts.  Enjoy a nice walk in the forest and listen to the sounds of spring!  We have a map of the trails available, let us know your mailing address and we will send you a copy (1-800-667-6307 ext. 7101).
