The United Counties of Prescott and Russell are made up of 8 lower-tier municipalities. The Mayor of each municipality sits on the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Council and acts on behalf of the municipality in Counties affairs. Council also elects a Warden on an annual basis. As Head of Counties Council, the Warden conducts the Council meetings, sits on committees, and represents the Counties at any meetings or official functions.
Council meetings for 2012 will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the council Chambers of the County Building at 59 Court Street in L’Orignal.
